The owners of the Alpina company presented a new brand Bovensiepen.
The first model is a 611-horsepower carbon fiber coupe with a design by Zagato. The new product will go on sale next year.
The Bovensiepen family, which owns the German company Alpina, has begun preparing to change its business model. At the beginning of next year, the rights to the brand will be transferred to BMW, and the niche car manufacturer from Buchloe will continue its activities under the new brand Bovensiepen.

In cooperation with the Italian company Zagato, which specializes in body repair, the "firstborn" of the new brand was created - Bovensiepen Zagato. Its official presentation took place at the Villa d'Este elegance competition. It took place on the shores of Lake Como. The Alpina project is based on a BMW - a convertible of the fourth series. Alpina products, as a rule, differ from donor cars primarily in modifications to the power unit and suspension. To a lesser extent, the changes concern the appearance.

In this case, the Italian specialists developed an almost completely new body with carbon fiber panels. In particular, they created a ventilated hood and a "double-bubble" roof - a characteristic feature of many Zagato models. There are no BMW emblems on the car body, but there is a Bovensiepen logo. The signature "nostrils" in the style of Bavarian cars are covered with an original steel grille with a honeycomb structure. The dimensions of the new product are 4943 mm in length, 1913 mm in width and 1394 mm in height. This is 175 mm more than the original BMW. The car is equipped with original 20-inch forged wheels with a large number of spokes, but not like those of Alpina sports cars. The car's curb weight is 1875 kg.

Alpino interior design

The interior design has remained virtually unchanged, except that there is now protection in the form of a visor above the dashboard. The show car has a blue leather interior, but Bovensiepen offers customers the option of choosing from 16 leather colors and 45 shades of Alcantara. Under the hood of this car is a turbocharged inline-3.0-liter engine that produces 611 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The Bovensiepen Zagato can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of over 300 km/h. However, the manufacturer has not yet provided information on the gearbox and drive type.
