The construction of a flying automobile manufacturing facility in China has started.
As seen in the video, up to 10,000 of these vehicles are anticipated to be produced. By 2026, deliveries and mass production will be created in Guangzhou province, with the car costing approximately 280 thousand dollars.
A manufacturing producing flying automobiles has begun construction in China.
According to CarNewsChina, Chinese automaker Xpeng staged a groundbreaking ceremony for a plant that will manufacture modular flying cars.
The 180,000 square meter new factory will have four production workshops as well as ancillary spaces for general assembly and painting.
The plant can produce 10,000 flying cars annually and is anticipated to start production in 2026. This particular vehicle, known as the Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC), was formally introduced by Xpeng on September 3.
There are two components to this modular vehicle. The first is a standard three-wheeled automobile, while the second is a big quadcopter that is mounted on the car's roof and gives it the ability to fly. The LAC will cost $280,000, according to the manufacturer's announcement. The business stated that following the flying car's demonstration, three thousand units have already been ordered.
In the past, Xpeng's AeroHT branch has created five different flying automobile concepts. The business unveiled a car in 2021 that could glide through the air thanks to deployable rotors on its roof. But because locking the rotors to stop vibrations from damaging them while driving on the road proved to be too challenging, it was never put into mass production.
