You won’t have to choose a vehicle: under the hood of European Prados there will be a 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbodiesel.
In 2025, the European range will be expanded to include a moderate-hybrid diesel version, but a hybrid version with a 2.4 petrol turbo engine has not yet been announced in the European Union. There are no revelations regarding the chassis and transmission: in all markets the SUV will have all-wheel drive with a Torsen center differential and a reduction gear, and the ground clearance will be 220 millimeters. In Europe, they will probably sell Japanese-made Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, but in Russia the most popular versions may be versions for China. The FAW-Toyota plant will register the new Prado in 2024: for logistical reasons, a Chinese-made all-terrain vehicle may be cheaper than analogues for other countries.
The 2024 Land Cruiser Prado comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The mill is paired with an electric motor and a 1.87kWh battery pack. The powertrain produces a combined output of 326bhp and 630Nm of torque. All this power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. It measures 4,920 mm in length, 2,139 mm in width and 1,859 mm in height. In addition, it has a wheelbase of 2,850mm and an impressive 221mm of ground clearance.
