New Honda ZR-V Details Revealed Ahead of UK Launch in 2023
Honda has confirmed that the brand new ZR crossover will go on sale in Japan in April 2023, and its arrival in the UK is expected at the end of next year.
Originally presented as part of the electrification strategy presentation in March, the ZR-V was designed with an emphasis on attracting young buyers and, as such, is focused on a "sporty and expressive" design, increased dynamics, practicality and maneuverability.
In the domestic market, the ZR-V is offered with gasoline and hybrid powerplants; the first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, and the second is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an Atkinson cycle paired with two electric motors, as used in the Honda Civic e:HEV.

The hybrid is expected to be the only option in the UK, given that Honda sells only its cars in the region – with the exception of the upcoming Civic Type R – with electrified powertrains. This variant meets the specification of the hybrid Civic; power 181 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque.
