This Indian model features four rows of seats and 10 forward-facing seats for passengers. Force Cityline may be a novelty for 2023, but in fact it is a slightly different version of the existing Trax Toofan and Trax Cruiser from Force Motors, the basis of which dates back to the 90s.
All three SUVs are better described as multi-purpose vehicles. They look the same, with a square shape that is largely inspired by the old Mercedes G-Class. At the front, large halogen headlights make it clear that this is not a G-Wagen, but the Citiline is the most premium of the three thanks to bumpers, fenders and a body-colored grille. The body has a length of 5120 mm and a wheelbase of 3050 mm.
In the cabin, the main difference lies in the location of the seats. Force Citiline has 10 seats arranged according to the scheme 2+3+2+3 that leaves no room for luggage. The company assumes that Citiline offers a best-in-class cabin for all passengers. Interestingly, the Trax Toofan and Trax Cruiser can carry even more people, having 11 and 13 seats respectively, although the rear passengers will face each other.
The salon can be accessed through four regular-sized doors, so sitting in the fourth row should not be easy. But the second row is formed in the proportion of 60:40, and in the third row there are two seats, leaving space between them for a small corridor.
The equipment is quite simple: there is an air conditioner with a separate unit for the rear passengers so that they can cope with the harsh weather conditions of India.
All three models are equipped with an outdated 2.6-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine with a common fuel ramp from Mercedes-Benz, which produces a fairly mild 90 hp and 250 Nm paired with 5 manual transmission. The landing gear with a ladder frame is equipped with a suspension on double wishbones with a torsion beam in front and leaf springs in the rear.
According to RushLane, the price of Force Citiline in the Indian market is from 15.10 lakhs or 1.5 million rubles, which makes it a bargain for all available space.
