Jeep has introduced an updated Wrangler SUV. Restyled cars can be identified by the compact radiator grille and the absence of a pin antenna. The Uconnect 5 multimedia system with off-road routes loaded into navigation and safety shutters appeared in the equipment of ordinary cars. And the Wrangler has a Dana 44 HD rear axle with half—loaded half-axles. Sales of restyled all-terrain vehicles in America will start this summer.
Jeep Wrangler JL has been waiting for an update for almost six years — and finally waited. A restyled SUV is presented at the New York Auto Show, and the list of announced changes is quite impressive.
The main external difference is the radiator grille with through jumpers between the slots, borrowed from the Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary. It improved the air flow to the radiator and facilitated the installation of the factory winch Warn. Also, the "Wrangler" lost the antenna-pin — now it is built into the windshield frame in a modern way.

Other innovations directly relate to security. So, the sidewalls of the body were reinforced, second-row seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters and safety shutters were added. The frontal collision prevention system and active cruise control are normally available on all cars, starting with the second Sport S configuration. The choice of engines and transmissions is the same, and the combination of 4.88:1 axles and six-speed "mechanics" still gives a record for the class total gear ratio of 100:1.
The only technical update concerns the Wrangler Rubicon: he got a Dana 44 HD rear axle with semi-loaded, as on trucks, semi-axles. This design is not only more reliable, but also improves towed capabilities. Above the "Rubicon" is now the "premium" Rubicon X, with full-time Rock-Trac all-wheel drive, an off-road camera, steel bumpers and an Xtreme 35 package, which includes BFGoodrich wheels and tires compatible with badlocks with an external diameter of 35 inches.
