The Geely Starray crossover was introduced in the Middle East.
Geely held the export premiere of the new Starray SUV. As the magazine reports Auto.ru , the Geely Starray crossover is now available to order in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The novelty is a renamed Geely Boyue L. The model was introduced in China in the summer of 2022 as the second generation of the SUV, known outside China as Atlas. The name Starray itself has already been patented by a Chinese company in Russia, but it is still unknown which model will eventually be released under this name in the Russian Federation.
The updated Boyue L is noticeably different from its predecessor. The crossover was transferred to the new CMA platform from Volvo and equipped with engines from the same company. In the home market, it is equipped with 1.5-liter turbo engines — the younger model develops 181 hp, and the older one — 218 hp. The engines are paired with a 7-speed robot.
Note that Starray is exported only with a more powerful engine, which was slightly boosted. It is known that the car will be sold only in expensive trim levels. The basic model has diode optics, two displays, climate control, driver's assistants, rain sensor and other equipment.
