On the upper level of the floating center console are the electronic shift, the driving mode selector and the 15W wireless charger. The second row of seats is divided into a 60:40 configuration and, in addition, the folding rear central armrest makes it possible to easily transport long objects. The new CMF-C platform of the Alliance, leads the New X-Trail to be an engineering reference advanced, innovation and cutting-edge technology, re-uploading the the bar in the crossover segment. The new X-Trail will be the second model of Nissan's European range that will be equipped with the innovative e-POWER system, exclusive to Nissan, it offers a 100% electric drive without plugs. The e-POWER system of the new X-Trail is composed of a high-performance battery which is supplemented by a variable compression gasoline engine, a power generator, a inverter and a 150 kW front electric motor. The powerful dual electric motor system it delivers a total power of 157 kW (213 hp) and 525 Nm of torque. This makes it possible to achieve acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.0 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 180 km/h.
The element that makes the e-POWER system unique, is that the gasoline engine is used only to generate electricity, while the wheels are powered exclusively by the electric motor. This means that the combustion engine can always operate within its optimal range, which allows for greater fuel efficiency in urban environments. The electric motor is the only source of traction for the wheels, so their response is instantaneous and linear, identical to any electric vehicle from the Nissan range. Instant response provides a stimulating feeling of high torque and agile acceleration that facilitates overtaking or joining the motorway with greater confidence. One of the main features that differentiate e-POWER technology is the "linear tuning", which governs the operation of the gasoline engine, ensuring that it turns at an appropriate speed relative to the speed of the road, avoiding the effect of "idle acceleration" of conventional hybrids when accelerating strongly.
Another advantage is the efficiency of the e-POWER, ensuring that the motor works only at the speed you need, which is usually low in urban and suburban conditions. To improve urban driving, it has the e-Pedal Step, which allows you to accelerate and brake using only the accelerator pedal once we activate it in the button located on the center console. In this way when releasing the accelerator, brakes to 0.2G, slowing down to drag mode, not to a full stop, this ensures that low-speed circulation is as comfortable and smooth as possible. The new X-Trail incorporates a new four-wheel drive system designed to work with 100% electric motors. The e-4ORCE system offers instant traction and a constant acceleration in all conditions thanks to the control technology one of Nissan's most advanced four-wheelers. The new X-Trail is equipped with the new generation of driver assistance ProPilot, which provides greater assistance to the driver in a greater variety of circumstances. The new Nissan X-Trail e-Power 2023 it is already available in Spain, starting from an approximate price of about 44,460 euros.
The e-4X versions will be available with an extra cost of 3,400 euros and the 7 seats will be optional for 4x4 versions for an additional 800 euros.
