The Brabus tuner has introduced an update package for the more powerful and faster Mercedes-AMG CLS 63.
The Brabus 900 Super black tunes the Mercedes-AMG SLS63 to 888 hp. It costs more than twice as much as the standard CLS 63 from Mercedes. Brabus is well acquainted with the tuning of Mercedes-Benz cars after having been doing it for decades. The latest modifier offering is the 900 Super black, which turns the Mercedes-AMG GLS63 4Matic into a more powerful SUV.
The biggest upgrade involves increasing the displacement of the twin-turbocharged engine to 4.4 liters instead of the usual 4.0 liters. This contributes to an increase in power up to 888 hp and a torque of 1050 Nm. The standard Mercedes powerplant develops a power of 603 hp.
The GLS from Brabus can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 329 km/h. As standard, the Mercedes-AMG GLS63 accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and its top speed is 280 km/h.
Engine modifications include increasing the cylinder diameter, installing forged pistons and upgrading connecting rods. The crankshaft from the workpiece increases the stroke of the piston. Brabus is installing new turbines with a larger compressor, and their maximum pressure is 1.4 bar. High-pressure fuel pumps provide enough gasoline for the power plant. Exhaust gases exit through downpipes with a diameter of 3.0 inches.
The company is also changing the design of the GLS. The air intakes have an open carbon fiber finish, and the front panel is more aggressive. The SUV rides on 24-inch Monoblock Z wheels in black color, in harmony with the car body. The Shadow Grey finish replaces the chrome elements of the standard model.
A custom air suspension control module reduces the standard ground clearance height by almost an inch.
Brabus retains the dark aesthetic of the interior. The interior is covered with black leather and alcantara. The interior trim combines carbon fiber elements and matte Shadow Grey elements.
The Brabus 900 Superblack model costs $407,986 or 33.2 million rubles. For comparison, the 2023 AMG GLS63 costs from 11 million rubles in the USA.
