Spy photos of the successor of the Mitsubishi ASX 2024 crossover appeared on the Network.
In serial form, the new crossover of the Japanese brand may debut this summer. In some places, models read a one-and-a-half-liter engine.
The first shots of the upcoming Mitsubishi SUV were posted online in February of this year. And here's a new catch of paparazzi: these photos were taken in Vietnam, they were replicated by many local media, among which was the publication AutoPro. Recall that the crossover will be the serial embodiment of the Mitsubishi XFC concept, which debuted in the fall of 2022. It is assumed that the commercial SUV will be positioned as the next-generation ASX (we do not take into account the "new" ASX for Europe, because it is almost a one hundred percent clone of the Renault Captur), or as a direct heir.
Judging by the pictures, the cross will retain the style of the harbinger, although the conveyor version, of course, will be simplified. So, the radiator grille will no longer have a mosaic pattern, glowing elements will be removed from the bumpers, ordinary mirrors will be installed instead of cameras, and handles will appear on the doors. Dimensions are still unknown. For comparison, the length of the current global Mitsubishi ASX is 4365 mm, the wheelbase is 2670 mm.
The spies have not been able to look into the salon yet. Most likely, the serial crossover will get a scoreboard, like the XFC concept, that is, a combined virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen multimedia system.
Mitsubishi did not tell about the technology of the show car. In Southeast Asia, the conveyor SUV is predicted to have a gasoline four-cylinder "atmospheric" 1.5 (power is not disclosed). Subsequently, the cross can also get a hybrid version.
According to unofficial data, the new Mitsubishi production SUV – well, or an option close to production – will be presented at the motor show in Indonesia, which will start working in the first half of August.
Note that the Japanese brand has not officially announced its withdrawal from the Russian market. But production in Kaluga after the beginning of the well-known events is not carried out, there are obviously no deliveries of new cars either (apart from parallel imports). In addition, at the time of publication of the news, the local Mitsubishi website was not functioning.
