A hydrogen-powered car has set a world record for mileage without refueling.
A hydrogen-powered car managed to cover more than 2,488 kilometers without refueling. This is a new world record. It was installed by a group of students from Delft Technical University. This is written by the publication Ferra.
The tests took place on a five-kilometer circle. Enthusiasts have been trying to break the record for three days. 11 people have been driving an eco-car. As a result, the record was set. The car itself weighs only 72 kilograms and can reach speeds of up to 45 kilometers per hour. It is small and has a streamlined shape for better aerodynamics.
Hydrogen fuel is considered the most environmentally friendly. It is obtained by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen directly. Then, when hydrogen and oxygen come into contact, water vapor is formed, from which the energy necessary for the operation of the car engine is already released.
